Uechi Ryu Karate originates from Okinawa and the Uechi family. Karate means open or empty hand, referring to the use of the body itself as a tool for self defense.

Kumite
Kumite, or sparring, is a method of applying our techniques on each other in a competitive format. Protective gear is required to spar, but everyone can participate in this class.

Kobudo
Kobudo is the use of tools and weapons for self defense. Kobudo class teaches students how to use traditional weapons such as the bo and sai.

Iaido
Iaido is the Japanese art of drawing the sword. It emphasizes awareness and attention to detail.
